Mr. Emerson O. Bryan is the Information and Document Management Officer in the Office of Trade Negotiation (OTN) of the CARICOM Secretariat, formerly the Caribbean Regional Negotiating Machinery (CRNM).
Before coming to the CRNM, he was the Research Assistant with the United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) assigned to the Caribbean Technical and Advisory Support Facility (TASF) on eGovernment based at the Caribbean Centre for Development Administration (CARICAD) in Bridgetown, Barbados. Prior to this, he was a member of the Jamaican Foreign Service, where he worked as a Records Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, for several years, during which time he was seconded from the Foreign Ministry, for a year, as the Records and Information Manager of the Ministry of Land and Environment (Office of the Prime Minister).
Mr. Bryan attended the University of the West Indies, where he read for a BA in Library and Information Studies, with International Relations. He has also completed certificate programmes in International Trade Policy, and in E-Governance both at the University of the West Indies, and Trade and Environment with the World Trade Organization (WTO).
A former member of the Jamaica Defence Force Coast Guard (National Reserves), Mr. Bryan is also active in several professional organizations, and charity organizations, and has lectured and facilitated various information seminars and workshops across the Region. |
